In the fourth quarter of 2020, the UK's dining and restaurant scene on Android saw a mix of performances among the top applications. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a glimpse into how these apps trended in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

McDonald’s UK saw a significant spike in downloads reaching 105K in late October, possibly indicating a promotional period or campaign. Weekly active users peaked at around 432K during the same time, but both metrics saw a general decline towards the end of the quarter.

The Subway® - Official App experienced its highest number of downloads in mid-October with approximately 76K downloads before a gradual decrease to 7.9K by the end of December. Active users reached a high of 72K in late October, with a noticeable drop to around 28K by the year's end.

Wetherspoon kicked off the quarter with a robust 61K downloads in late September, but the trend sharply declined, hitting a low of 2.5K downloads by late December. The app's weekly active users followed a similar downward trajectory, starting at 158K and ending at approximately 77K.

The KFC App UKI - Mobile Ordering showed a more stable pattern, with downloads fluctuating around the 20K mark, except for an early November surge to 39K. Weekly active users saw an increase from 112K to 183K in early November, maintaining a level just above 139K by the close of the quarter.

Lastly, Greene King observed its highest downloads at 47K in the first week of the quarter, but this figure dropped significantly to just over 1K by the end of December. Active users peaked at 81K in late September, with a decrease to approximately 27K by the quarter's conclusion.

While revenue data for these apps indicated no income, the fluctuating numbers of downloads and weekly active users provide valuable insights into consumer behavior and app performance within the UK's dining and restaurant app market during Q4 2020.
